The School Garden Studio is a one-stop-shop for Alberta’s teachers who want to bring food literacy and garden education into their classrooms. Members of the studio gain access to teaching resources (including curriculum guides, lesson plans, etc.), discounted educational tools (e.g. STEM kits, classroom garden systems, and more), expert advice, and peer-to-peer knowledge sharing.
Registration is required to join the School Garden Studio community.
For Educators
- Register to join (it takes less than 5 minutes).
- Once you’re online account is activated, login and look around.
- When you’re ready to start, check out the Teaching Library to explore experience stories, advice, and teaching materials.
- Connect with your peers and our garden education experts in Community page.
- Browse our virtual Tool Shed to see the latest learning tools that are available to buy or borrow.
- Our selection of tools include those that can be purchased at discounted rates as well as items that are available to borrow (with a refundable deposit).
- The School Garden Studio staff will work with you to arrange delivery for any tools purchased or borrowed through the studio.
- Login regularly for the latest tips, tools, and stories that can help you grow your school garden experience.
