NEW Resources Available for Grade 6

Complete with learning map, lesson plans, labs, and activities

We’ve done it again—this time for Grade six!

Building on the success of our first elementary lesson plans, we’ve created a unit especially for grade six teachers.

Available in both French and English, our latest resource is a Climate, Climate Change, and Earth Systems unit for grade six. Each lesson contains clear and direct links to the grade six science curriculum, instructions for implementation, and a wealth of supportive teaching materials. To support wholistic learning, the lessons also incorporate land-based principles and Indigenous perspectives.

For students, you’ll find activities, worksheets, research projects, and more, all to support learning about:

  • Agricultural practices
  • Climate change impacts on agricultural practices
  • Complexity of ecosystems
  • Plant processes
  • Traditional Indigenous land practices
  • Climate change impacts on traditional Indigenous land practices

How you use the materials in this pack is up to you; you can use everything all at once or in bits and pieces to complement your existing lessons. All School Garden Studio lesson plans are available through the Teaching Library; login required.
