Edmonton’s Food Bank envisions a community where hunger does not exist, where all citizens have access to an adequate and nutritious supply of food. Their mission is to be stewards in the collection of surplus and donated food for the effective distribution, free of charge, to people in need in our community while seeking solutions to the causes of hunger. They provide food for about 40,000 people each month through hamper programs and over 400,000 meals/snacks monthly through partner soup kitchens, shelters, schools, and other community groups.

Edmonton’s Food Bank has generously donated seeds to the School Garden Studio which will be shared with teachers across the province. If you would like to request bundles of seeds for use in your school garden, please keep an eye on your inbox—we’ll be sending out an email as soon as the seeds are ready to share. Edmonton’s Food Bank and the School Garden Studio encourage you to donate any produce grown with these seeds to your local food bank.
